Halloween

Halloween is great. Why? Well we might as well start with its origins.
I find History.com to be a pretty reliable resource, don't you?
Heres what they say about it:
and better yet they say it with cute little videos.
Halloween also comes with tons of cool traditions like dressing up, carving pumpkins , trick or treating, giving out candy, going to haunted houses, watching scary movies, and just getting downright spooky.
Picking the perfect costume. First off you should always try to dress up as something or someone you find interesting or funny or whatever, don't just go to the predictable cat costume Do you have a favorite tv show? Dress up as one of those characters. Don't have enough money to buy the costume? Make your own. Check out Goodwill, they usually have some stuff you could use.
Pumpkin carving is awesome. But you want to make sure you don't go to overboard so that no one actually understands what you are trying to portray. I find normal pumpkin faces to be pretty rad, and the best part is that you don't even need talent to make it
When giving out candy you should always also have a wide variety, so in case a kid is allergic to nuts or they just don't like kit-kats, they can take a pixie stick instead.
You are never, ever, ever, too old to go trick or treating. Ever. Especially if you're short. however some people don't always agree, so if you look older you might want to wear a mask. If you're a taller person and don't think even wearing a mask would help you pull off the middle schooler look, just take a kid with you. They get a bucket for candy, and you get a bucket too. I have tested this, and therefore know, if you have a little kid with you and you ask for candy as well, you will be given some.
The best way to get spooky with it and just get into the Halloween mood is by starting your own spooky traditions. Maybe you start helping a friend decorate their house, or spend a whole night going to different haunted houses, or go out costume shopping with friends. Whatever the tradition may be, make it fun. And don't forget to have a downright spooky Halloween!
